After our prog-rock tour-de-force on "Wistman's Wood"
we were looking for a suitable follow up.
I started to write something a bit darker and heavier, but still recognisably progressive.
I came up with "Lost & Found" and the dramatic possibilities became apparent, we had found our follow-up.

Well-meaning people will often say to the convalescent : "You'll soon be back to your old self"
Is this universally a good thing?

People all around, yet I am so alone
It's in their eyes, a kind of fear inside
As if they know me

Every night, whispered voices reassure me
But in the early hours, all the doubts return
I hear people screaming, they melt into troubled dreams

Inner voices rise and contradict myself
It's him....and he's growing stronger now

Although the 3 guest vocalists on this album sing wonderfully, and the songs are diverse and creative, I still prefer the voice of Peter Falconer. Still, I highly recommend this album, aware that my preference is somewhat of a bias. Some of the guitar playing on here is incredible. Despite the new vocalists, the sound of this album is still distinctly Drifting Sun. Personally, I give it 7.5/10. Alrihkh

To me, "Trip The Life Fantastic" was a must-buy on "Bandcamp Friday" this time. It's one of the few "Drifting Sun" albums not already found in my collection, and an essential one, because it marks the beginning of the prolific collaboration of composer/keyboardist Pat Sanders and lyricist/singer Peter Falconer, which was, in my opinion, the best creative pairing the band ever had.
